Remember when life seemed uncomplicated? If you think back, you'll realize that a time once existed when a pretty red dress that billowed when you danced could make you the happiest girl alive?
Where did those times go?
As much as those carefree days would be a welcome respite from the ups and downs of life today, it's also true that walking with God through the mountains and valleys of life has drawn you closer to Him. How much more do you know about Him because of where you've been together? How much more do you love Him because you've seen over and over how much He loves you?
Today, you continue your journey with your loving heavenly Father. You are a woman(same goes to guys) of God, but you are still His child - wide-eyed with wonder at His awesome presence and filled with joy at the truth of His promises. No matter what hurts or heartaches have come your way, your heavenly Father gathers and comforts you for the day ahead.
Yes, life is complex and complicated, but one simple truth cuts through all the static. You are a precious daughter of God.
Put on something red today and rejoice in the love of your Father in heaven!
